  48. I just went through a reinstall of C-Kermit on a SuSE 5.3 install.

  50. YAST likes to set /dev/modem to point to /dev/ttyS_, instead
  51. of /dev/cua_.  Maybe the RedHat setup is similar.

  53. Even running as root, this produces odd kermit behavior.
  54. Try setting /dev/modem to point to the cua device.

  56. My kermit setup is: kermit is owned uucp in group uucp and
  57. is SUID.  /dev/modem and/dev/ttyS_ are owned by uucp
  58. in group uucp as well.
